The journey starts with the most dramatic part – the mountain descent. From Imlil at 1,740m altitude, the P2017 winds down through terraced Berber villages, walnut groves, and river valleys. The switchbacks are tight, the scenery is breathtaking, and the road has no guardrails in several stretches. Our drivers are experienced mountain drivers who handle this road confidently, every day.
After about an hour, you reach Asni and the flat Haouz plain. The road widens, the curves end, and the landscape opens up. Your driver takes the Marrakech bypass (no need to enter the city) and joins the N8 highway heading west toward the coast.
