A private day trip from Marrakech to the Agafay Desert costs 150€ for up to 4 passengers (190€ for 5–7, 295€ for 8–12), with pickup at your hotel or riad, the driver's waiting time, fuel and tolls included. The day takes about 5–6 hours, door to door.
The Agafay is a stony desert plateau about 45 min south of Marrakech, with the High Atlas on the horizon. You leave in the afternoon, about three hours before sunset, stop by the Lalla Takerkoust reservoir, spend the golden hour out on the plateau or at a desert camp, and your driver brings you back to Marrakech the same evening.
Your driver collects you at your door and stays with you all day, at your pace. Brief stops for photos or tea are included, and the price you booked is the price you pay.

Paying is simple

Is a day trip to the Agafay Desert worth it?
Yes, if you want desert scenery without a long drive: you are out on the plateau in under an hour. It is not the Sahara — no sand dunes — but the light at sunset over the stony hills, with the Atlas behind, is the reason most people go.

Private driver or group tour?
Shared Agafay tours leave on a fixed timetable, often in the middle of the day; with your own driver the day is timed for the sunset, or for dinner at the camp you chose.

When is the best time to go?
October to May is the most comfortable; in summer, leave in the late afternoon when the heat drops. Clear winter days give the best views of the snow on the Atlas.

A private licensed driver, a fixed price agreed in writing, no meter and no haggling, at the same price around the clock. We are on WhatsApp if anything changes.

Short stops (coffee, photos, toilets) are free; longer stops cost 20€ per hour.

Will our luggage fit?
A sedan takes about 4 suitcases plus hand luggage, a comfort van (Mercedes-Benz Vito or similar) about 7 suitcases. Tell us your bags when you book and we confirm the right vehicle.

Baby seats, child seats and boosters are free, and guaranteed when you request them at booking: tell us your children's ages and the right seat is fitted before departure.

Is the price really the price?
Yes: car, driver, fuel, tolls, parking and luggage are included, with no night supplement and nothing added on the day. Only a trip that is not listed, or an extra destination, is quoted separately, in writing, before you confirm.

Yes. A transfer drops you at your camp and leaves. On the day trip your driver stays with you for the afternoon and evening, waits while you have dinner or watch the sunset, and drives you back to Marrakech the same night.
We're a transport company, so activities and meals are booked and paid with the camp. Tell us which camp you have chosen and we plan the timing around it; if you haven't chosen one yet, ask us and we'll suggest a few.
Both. Pay the driver in cash on the day of your trip, in euros or Moroccan dirhams — dirhams at the exchange rate of the day, and we'll confirm the amount before you travel. Or pay online by card, including Apple Pay and Google Pay, through a secure payment link we'll send you: your booking is locked in as soon as it's paid.
Day trips follow the same rules as our transfers. Free cancellation up to 24 hours before pickup — anything paid online is refunded according to our refund policy. Under 24 hours or a no-show, prepaid amounts are kept; unpaid bookings simply close. Bookings of 300€ or less: no deposit, pay on the day. Any booking over 300€: 30% deposit to confirm. 30% deposit to confirm; refundable in full up to 7 days before, half up to 72 hours.
