A private day trip from Marrakech to Essaouira costs 230€ for up to 4 passengers (300€ for 5–7, 465€ for 8–12), with pickup at your hotel or riad, the driver's waiting time, fuel and tolls included. The day takes about 10–12 hours, door to door.
Essaouira is a walled town on the Atlantic, about 2h30 west of Marrakech. Walk the whitewashed medina and the ramparts, watch the blue fishing boats come into the port, have grilled fish for lunch and feel the ocean wind on the beach — your driver waits in Essaouira and drives you back to Marrakech in the evening.
Your driver collects you at your door and stays with you all day, at your pace. Brief stops for photos or tea are included, and the price you booked is the price you pay.

Is a day trip to Essaouira worth it?
Yes, if you're staying in Marrakech and want the ocean: it is a long day, but you get around six hours in a relaxed, walkable town that feels nothing like Marrakech. If you can stay a night, a one-way transfer and a later return is even better.

A private licensed driver, a fixed price agreed in writing, no meter and no haggling, at the same price around the clock. We are on WhatsApp if anything changes.

Short stops (coffee, photos, toilets) are free; longer stops cost 20€ per hour.

Will our luggage fit?
A sedan takes about 4 suitcases plus hand luggage, a comfort van (Mercedes-Benz Vito or similar) about 7 suitcases. Tell us your bags when you book and we confirm the right vehicle.

Baby seats, child seats and boosters are free, and guaranteed when you request them at booking: tell us your children's ages and the right seat is fitted before departure.

Is the price really the price?
Yes: car, driver, fuel, tolls, parking and luggage are included, with no night supplement and nothing added on the day. Only a trip that is not listed, or an extra destination, is quoted separately, in writing, before you confirm.

Questions about this day trip
Cars cannot enter the medina. Your driver drops you at the gate closest to where you want to start and waits nearby until you are ready to go back.
If you're coming back to Marrakech the same day, take the day trip: the driver waits for you all day. If you're staying in Essaouira, a one-way transfer is the right booking.
Usually about six hours, depending on when you leave Marrakech. You decide when to head back.
Both. Pay the driver in cash on the day of your trip, in euros or Moroccan dirhams — dirhams at the exchange rate of the day, and we'll confirm the amount before you travel. Or pay online by card, including Apple Pay and Google Pay, through a secure payment link we'll send you: your booking is locked in as soon as it's paid.
Day trips follow the same rules as our transfers. Free cancellation up to 24 hours before pickup — anything paid online is refunded according to our refund policy. Under 24 hours or a no-show, prepaid amounts are kept; unpaid bookings simply close. Bookings of 300€ or less: no deposit, pay on the day. Any booking over 300€: 30% deposit to confirm. 30% deposit to confirm; refundable in full up to 7 days before, half up to 72 hours.
