“Everything went extremely professionell. Fantastic driver and we felt absolutly comfortable. Thanks!”
A private day trip from Marrakech to the Ourika Valley costs 150€ for up to 4 passengers (185€ for 5–7, 290€ for 8–12), with pickup at your hotel or riad, the driver's waiting time, fuel and tolls included. The day takes about 6–7 hours, door to door.
The Ourika Valley follows a river into the High Atlas, about 1h from Marrakech. The air is cooler, the hillsides are terraced and green, and the road is lined with Berber villages, gardens and cafés with tables by the water. You stop where you like, have lunch by the river and your driver brings you back whenever you're ready.
Your driver collects you at your door and stays with you all day, at your pace. Brief stops for photos or tea are included, and the price you booked is the price you pay.

Is a day trip to the Ourika Valley worth it?
Yes, especially as a first taste of the Atlas: it is the closest mountain valley to Marrakech, so you spend more of the day there than in the car. It is popular, so the main stops are busy at weekends — your driver can stop at quieter places along the way.
What's included in the price?
Everything that gets you there and back is included; meals, guides, tickets and activities are not.
Included
- Private air-conditioned vehicle for your group only
- Your driver for the whole day
- Pickup and drop-off at your hotel or riad (medina meeting point)
- Fuel, tolls and parking
- Waiting time at every stop
Not Included
- Meals and drinks
- A licensed guide (we can add one — ask us)
- Activities such as quads, camel rides or boat rides
- Entrance fees
Private driver or group tour?
Group tours stop at the same busy cafés and cooperatives; with your own driver you choose where to stop and how long to stay by the river.
| Compare | Our private day trip | Shared group tour |
|---|---|---|
| Who is in the vehicle | Only your group | Other travellers, in a shared minibus |
| Departure time | You choose | Fixed departure time |

| Pickup | Your hotel or riad (medina meeting point) | Set pickup points and times |
| Price | One price for the whole vehicle | Per person |
When is the best time to go?
All year. Spring is the greenest; in summer the valley is a welcome escape from the heat of Marrakech. Go on a weekday to avoid the weekend crowds.
