Ait Ben Haddou is a fortified earthen village above the Ounila river, listed by UNESCO and used as a film set for Gladiator and Game of Thrones. It sits beyond the Tizi n'Tichka pass, about 30 km before Ouarzazate, and many travellers spend a night there before heading on to the desert.
Your driver picks you up at your door, or the closest point a car can reach. The car is air-conditioned, there is bottled water on board, and a short stop for a coffee or a photo is included. The price was settled before you left.
Can we stop at the Telouet kasbah on the way?

How long is the drive over the Tizi n'Tichka?
About 4h for 200 km. The N9 climbs through Berber villages to the Tizi n'Tichka pass at 2,260 m, then drops towards the edge of the desert; it is paved all the way but has many bends.
If you are prone to car sickness, sit in the front and take something before you leave — the driver takes the bends gently and stops at the viewpoints when you ask.
Can you pick us up at Marrakech Airport?
Yes, at the same price as from the city: 135€ for 1–4 passengers. Your driver waits in arrivals with a name sign and tracks your flight; with an afternoon landing you reach Ait Ben Haddou in the evening.
Can we continue to Ouarzazate or the desert?
Yes. Ouarzazate is about 30 km further on, and we quote it, the desert or two or three days towards Zagora or Merzouga as one trip with the same vehicle. Send us your plan and we fix the price before you travel.

A sedan takes about 4 suitcases plus hand luggage, a comfort van (Mercedes-Benz Vito or similar) about 7 suitcases. Tell us your bags when you book and we confirm the right vehicle.

Baby seats, child seats and boosters are free, and guaranteed when you request them at booking: tell us your children's ages and the right seat is fitted before departure.

Is the price really the price?
Yes: car, driver, fuel, tolls, parking and luggage are included, with no night supplement and nothing added on the day. Only a trip that is not listed, or an extra destination, is quoted separately, in writing, before you confirm.
