The drive starts with a flat stretch through the Haouz plain south of Marrakech. Around 45 minutes in, you reach Asni — a small market town at the foot of the mountains. From there, the road climbs. The P2017 winds through pine forests, past Berber villages perched on hillsides, and across valleys with terraced orchards.
The last 30 minutes are the most beautiful part — you gain altitude quickly and the landscape transforms completely. By the time you reach Imlil, you'll feel like you're in a different country. The air is cooler, the mountains tower above you, and the pace of life is completely different from Marrakech.
Important: The mountain road is paved but winding. If you're prone to car sickness, take medication before departure. Our drivers are experienced mountain drivers and take the curves smoothly.
