What to Expect on This Route
This is a long-haul run we know well — and one of the easiest drives in the country, because it's motorway almost the entire way. You leave Marrakech heading north across the Haouz plain and the wide, open Rehamna scrubland, passing Ben Guerir and Settat on the A7.
After roughly two and a half hours you reach the outskirts of Casablanca. The motorway skirts the city, then the A3 carries you the final stretch north to Rabat along the Atlantic. The tarmac is excellent, clearly signposted, and dotted with modern service stations if you want a coffee or a break.
Road conditions: Fully tolled autoroute the whole way — three lanes in places, a 120 km/h limit, and very little rough surface. Tolls and fuel are already covered by your fixed price, so there is nothing to pay at the barriers.
Arriving in Rabat: The capital is calmer and greener than Casablanca — tree-lined avenues, an easy-going medina, and the ocean right there. Your driver takes you door-to-door, whether that's a hotel in the Agdal district, a riad in the old town, or the Kasbah of the Udayas.

Is a Private Transfer from Marrakech to Rabat Worth It?
For a 4-hour journey, yes — the comfort difference is real.
This is not a short hop. You could take the train or piece together grand taxis via Casablanca, but four hours is long enough that how you travel genuinely matters. On a long tolled motorway run, a private car pays off.
Here's why our transfer makes sense on this route:
- No relay changes: Grand taxis rarely run Marrakech to Rabat in one go — you'd change at Settat or Casablanca and haggle each time. We drive it in one comfortable, direct trip.
- True door-to-door: The train leaves you at Rabat Ville station; we take you to your actual address — a hotel in Agdal, a riad in the medina, or an office if you're here on business.
- Groups and families: One fixed price covers the whole vehicle, tolls and fuel included. Spread your luggage out, add a child seat on request, and stop when you need to.
- Business and official travel: Rabat is the administrative and diplomatic capital. Our drivers are punctual, professional, and used to embassy and ministry drop-offs.
- Flexibility along the way: Want to break the drive with the Hassan II Mosque in Casablanca, or continue north to Fès or Chefchaouen afterwards? Just ask — we plan the day around you.
If you're a solo traveller counting every dirham, the ONCF train is hard to beat on price. But for two or more people, for families, or for anyone who values arriving relaxed at the right door, our transfer is the calmer, simpler way to reach Rabat.
Frequently Asked Questions: Marrakech to Rabat
A private transfer from Marrakech to Rabat costs 190€ for 1-4 passengers in a private car. For 5-7 passengers in a van it's 240€, and for 8-12 passengers in a minibus it's 372€. The price is fixed per vehicle — motorway tolls and fuel included, with no per-seat charge and no surprises.
About 4 hours for the 320 km. The whole journey is on the A7 + A3 motorway — a smooth, tolled autoroute at 120 km/h that runs north past Settat, skirts Casablanca, and continues up to Rabat. We stop at a service station whenever you like.
The ONCF train is a good option if you're travelling solo, but it runs station to station: you still need a taxi from your riad to Marrakech station, and another from Rabat Ville station to your hotel. Our transfer picks you up at your door in Marrakech and drops you exactly where you're staying in Rabat — with your luggage, at a time you choose.

Book on WhatsApp — 190€Yes. The motorway passes right by Casablanca, so a short stop — for example at the Hassan II Mosque on the ocean — fits naturally into the drive. A brief photo stop is free; a longer visit or detour is a small supplement. Just mention it when you book.
Rabat is Morocco's calm, green capital and a UNESCO World Heritage city. The highlights are the blue-and-white Kasbah of the Udayas above the river mouth, the Hassan Tower and the Mausoleum of Mohammed V, the walled medina, and the Roman-Merinid ruins of Chellah. It's a gentler, more relaxed base than nearby Casablanca.
Yes. We run direct transfers from Marrakech Menara Airport (RAK) to Rabat for 190€ (1-4 passengers) or 240€ (5-7 passengers). Your driver waits in the arrivals hall with your name sign and tracks your flight, so a delay costs nothing extra. The return from Rabat to Marrakech is the same fixed price.
