What to Expect
Your driver navigates the dirt tracks out from your camp to the main road — the same tricky stretch that makes GPS unreliable on the way in. Once on the paved road, it's a smooth 30-minute drive back through olive groves and villages into Marrakech.
Most morning pickups from Agafay are calm and quiet. The desert light in the morning is beautiful, and you'll pass through the Haouz plain as it wakes up — farmers heading to fields, donkeys on the roadside, the Atlas Mountains glowing in the early sun behind you.
