The journey starts with the trickiest part — exiting your camp through the Agafay desert tracks. Once on the N8 highway, the landscape transforms rapidly. The dry Agafay plateau gives way to olive groves, then the famous argan forests where goats climb the trees (yes, really). The road is flat, well-maintained, and mostly straight. About an hour in, you'll notice the air changing — cooler, saltier. The Atlantic is getting closer.
